FTMLK
Franklin Township Dr. Martin Luther King Community Foundation celebrates Juneteenth, the commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States of America.
This is a time for us all to recognize this period in our history and reflect on the progress since the Emancipation Proclamation in our Nation. In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Juneteenth signals the power and importance of honest and open communication among all cultures, races, and religions, with a goal of unity. We all should work collectively to ensure that each of us, impartially, has the promise of freedom, equality, and justice for all. Our nation’s strength is in the power of our diverse communities standing united, inclusive, and accepting of each other’s differences.
We take pride in our country recognizing this important day.
Happy Juneteenth.
Captain Sean Hebbon,
President, FTMLKCF
